The Oneida Community Grosvenor pattern was produced from in 1921 into the 1940s in the Colonial Revival period when home furnishings and architecture reflected those design elements of the era. The designer of the still-popular antique silver plate Oneida pattern was Grosvenor N. Allen who incorporated elements from Oneida’s earlier “Adam” pattern into the silver plate flatware to create the Grosvenor pattern. Bowls of the ladles, sugar spoon and casserole spoon and salad fork tines are embellished with a pretty embossed design. The set is in impressive antique condition, still retaining a silver plate shine. The bolstered dinner knife blades are silver plated, elevating an antique aesthetic, with expected scratches.
