Up for sale here is this power supply board recap set for a Marantz 2285B. This is all the parts you need to rebuild a Marantz 2285B power supply. This is for the 2285B, NOT the 2285. I have kits for the 2285 available here . Vintage Marantz power supplies were run pretty aggressively, and often the old parts are weak and failing. We will make them new again! This kit includes all 14 capacitors, 10 transistors, 2 diodes, and 3 double diodes. These are all high-quality brand new genuine parts. The capacitors are 105° Panasonic FC and Nichicon PW caps at the correct uf and same or higher voltage ratings; the transistors are Fairchild/OnSemi KSC2690, KSA1220, KSC1845, and TIP41C; and the diodes are two 1N4148, two MUR1620G double diodes, and one MUR1620RG double diode. These are extremely high-quality parts, the same ones I use when I work on Marantz gear. I will include surprisingly well-written instructions, but this is moderately complicated, and you should know what you're doing and have a decent soldering iron, as well as a little heat-sink compound. Please note that this kit does NOT contain the two dual main capacitors. Modern replacements for these do not exist. In order to replace your main caps, you'll need to either gut the old ones and put two new ones inside each, or make up little circuit-board replacements. Please see my pictures for details.
